The Chi Omega
Symphony

“TO LIVE CONSTANTLY ABOVE SNOBBERY OF WORD OR DEED; TO PLACE SCHOLARSHIP BEFORE SOCIAL OBLIGATIONS AND CHARACTER BEFORE APPEARANCES;

TO BE, IN THE BEST SENSE, DEMOCRATIC RATHER THAN ‘EXCLUSIVE’, AND LOVABLE RATHER THAN ‘POPULAR'; TO WORK EARNESTLY, TO SPEAK KINDLY, TO ACT SINCERELY, TO CHOOSE THOUGHTFULLY THAT COURSE WHICH OCCASION AND CONSCIENCE DEMAND; TO BE WOMANLY ALWAYS; TO BE DISCOURAGED NEVER; IN A WORD, TO BE LOYAL UNDER ANY AND ALL CIRCUMSTANCES TO MY FRATERNITY AND HER HIGHEST TEACHINGS AND TO HAVE HER WELFARE EVER AT HEART THAT SHE MAY BE A SYMPHONY OF HIGH PURPOSE AND HELPFULNESS IN WHICH THERE IS NO DISCORDANT NOTE.”

A LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT

On behalf of the Epsilon Delta chapter of Chi Omega, welcome! My name is Maddie Rogers, and I have the wonderful honor of serving as President of our chapter at the University of Southern Mississippi. As you explore our website, I hope that you are able to catch a small glimpse of who we are as Chi Omega women and what it means to be a part of this one-of-a-kind sisterhood.

Ever since I ran home on Bid Day in 2019, I have had no doubt that Chi Omega was the place I needed to be. Within Chi Omega, I have grown in ways I have never imagined possible and have found true friendships that will last way beyond my four years of college. Nearing the start of my senior year, I am still in awe of this chapter and the women in which it is made up with, as I was when I first walked into Chi Omega on the first day of recruitment three years ago.

Each member of Epsilon Delta brings their own unique strengths and character that forms the chapter we have on our campus today. The women of Chi Omega demonstrate their leadership and involvement by being involved in over 70 student organizations and groups on campus. Campus organizations such as Southern Style, Eagle Connection, Lucky Day, Honors College, Order of Omega, Student Government Association, and Campus Outreach programs to name a few. Regardless of where you choose to find your place on campus, you can always go with confidence that a Chi Omega will be there with you too. Chi Omega’s constantly encourage each other to be the best version of themselves in all aspects of life both as young women and as students. Each day, I am proud to call these women my sisters, and I am grateful for the positive impact that they have had on my time as a member of Chi Omega and as a student at USM.

Thinking of the year ahead, I am excited and hopeful to see what it has to offer. I am grateful to have the opportunity to serve this chapter alongside our amazing Executive Board and Cardinal Cabinet! Thank you for stopping by to see what makes Chi Omega so special, feel free to contact us with whatever you need!

Chi O Love and Mine,

Maddie Rogers
