RECOMMENDATIONS & LEGACIES
Guide us toward a potential Chi Omega.
Every year, over 7,000 women join Chi Omega. Membership in Chi Omega provides lifelong friendships, campus and community involvement, and countless opportunities for personal growth and development in college and beyond!
A Letter of Recommendation is written by alumni of Chi Omega on behalf of a Potential New Member (PNM). A PNM is a young woman seeking membership of the Greek community. For further details and definitions of recruitment terms, visit the CPC website
If you are a PNM seeking a Letter of Recommendation, reach out to family friends, teachers, and community members, as well as local Chi Omega alumni associations. If you are an alumna, we appreciate you helping us build the future of Chi Omega.
Please send all RIFs or recruitment recommendation letters to the following address:
118 College Dr. Box 8358
Attention: Recruitment Chair
Hattiesburg, MS 39406
Chi Omega Alumnae can also complete RIF's online
In Chi Omega, a PNM is only considered a "legacy" if they are the sister or daughter of an initiated Chi Omega in good standing. Extended relations such as grandmothers, aunts, etc. are considered "ties" and should still be noted. A legacy is not guaranteed a bid to Chi Omega and participates in CPC Recruitment normally.
We are excited to meet all the young women coming through recruitment! We are eager to open our hearts to new women who believe in the ideals of our Fraternity and welcome them to their forever home in Chi Omega this fall!
